Third-Party Inspections

We offer independent third-party inspection services for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Our impartial inspections ensure that all aspects of your construction project are in line with Australian standards, helping you avoid potential long-term grievances and ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standards.

  • Pre-pour concrete inspections involve ensuring that the concrete thickness is adequate, as well as checking that the reinforcement and/or post-tensioning has been installed as per the structural design documentation, including the size, spacing, cover and lapping to bars/tendons. For footings, we recommend that a geotechnical engineer inspects the founding material (soil foundation) to ensure that the footing is founded at an appropriate depth and that the soil has adequate bearing capacity as nominated on the structural drawings.

  • Inspections of steel and timber framing involve ensuring that the member sizes, connections and tie-downs have been installed as per the structural design documentation.

  • We provide non-mandatory reports for inspections undertaken at various stages of construction as described above. Non-mandatory inspection reports may be requested by owners, project managers or builders to implement quality control, ensuring that contractors have completed the structural works in accordance with the design documentation.

  • We can provide a Regulation 126 Certificate of Compliance for structural works that we have inspected, as described above. These reports are a formal document that may be requested by the Relevant Building Surveyor to sign off the works as required by Victorian State Regulations. This certificate ensures that the structural works have been completed in accordance with the design documentation, and have been inspected by a registered, licenced and competent engineer.

  • We can provide a Form 12 Inspection Certificate for structural works that we have inspected, as described above. These reports are a formal document that may be requested by the Building Certifier to sign off the works as required by Queensland State Regulations. This certificate ensures that the structural works have been completed in accordance with the design documentation, and have been inspected by a registered, licenced and competent engineer.
